Pre-Treat
Safe Pre-conditioner
The pre-conditioner we apply for upholstered pieces is specifically made for sensitive and delicate fabrics and is also safe for you, your family, and pets. It helps to soften and emulsify oily soils which have become embeded into the fabric of the piece. If required, we also use a gentle horsehair brush to agitate the cleaning solution and further break up stubborn soils. We can also apply pet & dander treatments as required.
Extraction
Gentle Cleaning
We use an ultra low-moisture cleaning tool specifically made for upholstery. Upholstery fabrics are very thin, so it is imperative to not over saturate them with water which can go down into the foam and then wick spots back up to the surface the next day. Our tool will effectively rinse and extract the very top surface of the fabric (where the soils are) to effectively clean the piece. We’ll then apply fans to dry it quickly.
Protection
Specialty Fabric Protection
The fabric protector we apply is not water-based Scotchgard (which is made to be applied on carpet), but a solvent based solution which will not over wet the piece upon application, and will actually facilitate faster drying times. Specialty solvent based fabric protectors like ours will also bond the protection to the fabric more effectively, allowing you to enjoy a cleaner piece for a longer time.
